Girls Weekend Out - Hard Rock Style

Trying to recoup from all my travelin' and thought I better get this all down before my pre-menopausal brain sends it off to the vault, never to be retrieved.

We planned a GWO to celebrate Webber's birthday. (I can't really divulge any more details because that would just be rude)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEBBER!!!!!

The weekend started out benign enough with Cat, Webber and I meeting at LC's house. LC's husband was pulling the SuperSpouse act and got bagels and mimosas ready for us. Now the relationship between this group is confusing and convoluted but there are friends, in-laws and bosses involved (many times over). We were all aware of the spousal act, but enjoyed the fruits of his labor anyway. The girls started with the mimosas immediately and after a little face stuffing, we were out the door.

Because I am always know to be the designated driver and virtual teetotaller I got the pleasure of driving LC's batmobile SUV gigantic black tank with the stinging tailpipe.

(Me- DD AGAIN!! -
holy crap, when did
I get those byebye arms?)

cuz I was taking the picture)

On the road we had a lot of laughs and lots of complaining about husbands and kids and life.

The girls were still pounding out the mimosas while I kept my eye out for the cops.

I swear, there were no less than 300 cops on the lookout that day and about a jillion people pulled over, so you all can understand my concern. (BTW, who gets arrested when the driver is sober but the rest of the occupants are twisted?)

LC had me so flustered with her OCD jumping around and blaring the music it was hard to concentrate the task at hand. She was extremely funny (and wild and insane) and we got a little foreshadow on what the weekend was to hold.

After three short hours and one pit stop and at least 10 "are we there yets?" We arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel . The place was a ghost town. (no, everyone, not literally - no ghost stories this time). Smiling Sara was there to meet us and after checking in, we made our way to the room unloading zone (27 miles from the front desk, mind you). We dropped our bags, drank a few cocktails and walked over to the park. (Through the super secret, no tresspassing zone because these girls were just itching for some jail time).

Webber and I were able to talk Sara into riding the Hulk (the other two wimped out).

Oh boy, during that day of rides and rollercoasters did we learn a lot about LC and her bodily functions. That skinny little biatch ate half a chicken, rice and beans and a salad for lunch and later announced her necessity to drop the kids off at the pool. I was a bit buzzed from the drinks and the G forces imparted on my ancient brain and was on TMI overload.

TMI to be continued............

  1. Sounds like you gals had a great time! Sadly, I've never had a girls night out like this. I can't seem to ever shake the kids off.
