Honest

Well, if you've been following along and read this, you know this past weekend I was a repairing, sanding, painting fool. Saturday, we spent approximately 12 hours in Lowes picking out moulding and paint colors and tools and blahblahblah, you get the point. And maybe it wasn't 12 hours, but it sure as heck felt like it. AND I still wasn't feeling back to my normal vivacious animated snarky self which made it that much more tiresome. Well, we spent two days on this damn room and it still isn't done. I think there is no hope for a Christmas tree this year.

------------------------------------------------------------------

AND - Soxy Deb from Postcards gave me this award

Thanks Deb! I'm glad you got a good laugh from the Leather Clam (beware that link may be a little shocking) - we all did too and yes, she was full of honest little nuggets. (just for you Deb, that nugget comment)

Now you guys know the drill, there are lots of rules and linky dink stuff and here are the rules that you agree to when you accept this award:

"When you receive the prize, you must write a post showing it, together with the name of who has given it to you, and link them back.

Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in their content or design. (hey wait - this is an honesty award, shouldn't there be something about real or honest of something?? - oh well, I didn't make the rules)

Show their names and links and leave them a comment informing that they were prized with 'Honest Weblog'.

List [if you can and/or dare] at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"

Seven blogs with brilliant design or content and I guess I will throw in honest because I think leaving that out of the rules was stupid. Or maybe it is like that game of telephone where the message gets all garbled in the end.

Shelle's Plush Moments : her photos are truly brilliant and awe inspiring and Blokthoughts is a laugh riot. You must find her bathroom post from months ago.

JillJillBoBill : she cracks me up with all her typing flubs and flashing stories.

Susan :H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S, she can swear like a sailor, is a blog snob and is stingy with her email address.

Alyson at New England Living: she is really cool and I love all the old stuff about New England and anyone that can quote Monty Python is uber cool.
Georgie : I mean how honest can you get with that confessional. She shuns these award posts but that is okay, she is super cool and funny anyway.

Okay - that was only five, but I am weary of the linky love thing and am trying to get this out before my head crashes into my keyboard and I accidentally post some gobboldygook.

I am deathly afraid of going to the doctor.

I miss my ex MIL and wish I could talk to her more often.

I have a hard time getting to work on time because I really don't want to go anymore.

I feel like God has led me to connect with the people from my past for a reason and that kind of scares me.

I constantly worry about the well being of Cab. Even though I am so over his attitude and his crap.

I curse way too much and drop the "F bomb" often for the shock effect.

I really, really love music from the 40's

I secretly believe in reincarnation

I love my husband, but sometimes wish for my single lifestyle again.

I am glad that this honest thing is over.

Now go my friends and spread the scrap.

  2. OOOHHH...do I get to actually post the award? I'm so excited. I promise, I will work on this tonight. Thanks for the plug on having a "swearing" sailor mouth... I'll keep that for when I get asked about the top 10 things I'm proud of!

  4. You said nuggets - heeheehee.

I come to you from the other side of Home Improvement projects. Yes, there is a light at the end of a tunnel, although it's one long effing tunnel and you may get hit by a train while in there. Just know, that there is an "other side".

    Freaking (*%^&*( Lowe's!!!

I would like to read more about your situation with Cab (I hope that didn't come off too nosey). I have a "Cab" of my own and to hear another parents take on the situ would be great. Can you forward me some links?
